welcome!
In a world filled with genetically modified foods, the new and the improved, cases of ADHA increase. As man has lengthened the expiration dates of milk by using ultra pasteurization, killing the very proteins that made milk a healthy food source. As cancer increases with the preservatives covering our meat, we watch the quality of life being diminished with the chemically loaded ‘convenience’ food. In a world where pharmaceuticals’ treat the symptoms, causing side effects that are treated with yet more pharmaceuticals’, many are seeking an alternative for their families, looking for a better way, a healthier way. In a world filled with pesticides, chemicals, additives, artificial this and genetically altered that, how can you protect yourself and your family?
By living simply. By getting back to basics. Breathe. Living simply does not mean simply living – it means living life to its fullest by living closer to life. To move from a life filled with artificial and altered to natural is a slow process. Indeed, one must learn to take a step at a time, slowly immersing oneself in what was, not what is now. Philosophy? Religion? No, just a life style that is healthier, calmer, more simplified. Turning to what God gave us, slowly turning away from what man makes us. It is a process of changing your life…moving from commercial processed food to home grown or organic; leaving behind the meat that has been raised with antibiotics and growth hormones, to natural feed beef or meat you can raise yourself; by treating the whole person with herbs instead of exposing the person to pharmaceuticals and leaving behind the drugs that cover the symptoms and yet never seek the cause. By living more simply, preventing the damages on our bodies. One step at a time, breathe, remind yourself that quality far outweighs quantity and that life is truely a blessing, not a burden. An herbalist does not become an herbalist overnight. It is a choice one takes, surrounded by a life of learning. As an herbalist, the first step we would recommend is to change your eating habits. Choose locally grown foods; food without fertilizers; food raised without antibiotics and growth hormones; food without artificial flavoring and artificial colors; choose fresh over processed. Be prepared as your body adjusts to ‘real’ food; as the body starts to detoxify, you will start to notice that food tastes better, you start to sleep better, unlike other’s ‘in the office’ you don’t get sick as often. Start to enjoy your food……………… and most of all ................breathe. |
"Teeming in the Countryside, the world over, are medicinal herbs and edible plants; it shows disbelief in the power of God to
pass them by." ~Juliette de Bairacli Levy~ "Nothing manmade can surpass what God gave."
~Brenda Lee~ Then God said"Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food", and it was so.
Genesis 1:29-30 (NASB) "Give me truths;
For I am weary of the surfaces, and die of inanition. If I knew only the herbs and simples of the wood, Rue, cinquefoil, dill, vervain, and arimony.........." ~ Ralph Walso Emerson ~ Know well the condition of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds; For riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations. When the grass disappears, the new growth is seen, and the herbs of the mountains are gathered in, The lambs will be for your clothing, and the goats will bring the price of a field, And there will be goats' milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, and sustenance for your maidens.
Proverbs 27:23-27 (NASB) "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."
~Hippocrates~ |
